Services will be Friday, February 5, 2010; 2:00 P.M. at United Methodist Church, Juniata with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 3, 2010; 9:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M.; Thursday, February 4, 2010; 9:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. at Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home; and one hour prior to service at United Methodist Church, Juniata. Memorials may be given to United Methodist Church, Juniata, Nebraska. Walter was born August 4, 1920 in Hastings, Nebraska to Jacob & Elizabeth (Lofing) Sittner. He attended Hastings High School. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On October 20, 1946 he married Bonnie Sergeant at Juniata United Methodist Church. He worked as a salesman for Midwest Distributors in Juniata. He was a member of the Juniata United Methodist Church, Disabled American Veterans, and the Elks Club. Walter was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Adam Sock and Jacob Sittner, Jr.; and two sisters, Dorothy Rhodes and Jeanne Freese. Survivors include: |
