Hastings resident, Ronald J. Wright, 64, passed away Monday, January 18, 2010 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings.

Services will be Thursday, January 21, 2010; 10:30 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church, in Hastings with Pastor Renee Johnson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, 2010; 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 20, 2010; 9:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. with family present from 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home; and one hour prior to service at Faith Lutheran Church. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church rural Hastings, Nebraska.

Ronald was born August 26, 1945 in Hastings, Nebraska to Lloyd W. & Luella A. (Krueger) Wright. He graduated from Juniata High School in 1963. He entered the National Guard from September 8, 1963 until September 7, 1969. On June 7, 1968, he married Rogene A. Davidson. He was a farmer and built all the buildings and barns on the farmstead. He was a member and past church treasurer of Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Hastings and was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings. He was also a member of the Nebraska Corn Growers. He loved woodworking and collecting coins. He was a lifelong resident of Adams County.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly Bruntz; and brother-in-law, Gary Bruntz.
