Former Hastings resident, Vernabelle Frances Uhrmacher, 91, passed away
Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Schuyler,
Nebraska.
Services will be Saturday, January 28, 2012; 10:30 A.M. at Butler
Volland Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will
be Friday, January 27, 2012; 1:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with family present
4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and one hour prior to service at the funeral
home on Saturday. Memorials may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church,
Schuyler, Nebraska.
Vernabelle was born January 22, 1921 in Yuma, Colorado to Phillip
Richard & Anna (Schleeter) Daum. She attended country school in Colorado
and graduated from Hastings High School in 1939. Vernabelle married
Walter Uhrmacher on June 16, 1940 in Hastings, Nebraska; he preceded her
in death on August 10, 1981. She moved to Schuyler, Nebraska in 1991
from California; she was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church and V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Vernabelle was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter
Uhrmacher; daughter, Patricia Gaylor; and brothers, Richard Daum and
Robert Daum.

Son: Ronald Uhrmacher, Sr. – Schuyler, NE
