Mary V. Hohlen

Hastings resident, Mary V. Hohlen, 91, died Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Thursday, July 10, 2008; 10:30 A.M. at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8, 2008; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. , Wednesday, July 9, 2008; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. with family present from 7:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M at the funeral home and Thursday, July 10, 2008; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Hohlen was born December 22, 1916 in Sutton, Nebraska to Ernest E. & Jeanette (Rants) Alberts. On November 11, 1936, married Lloyd F. Hohlen and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1960. She was a sales clerk at Brach-Thompsons and Gibsons. She was a member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a life long area resident.

Mrs. Hohlen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; daughter, Mary Jean Hohlen; son-in-law, Larry A. Peters; sisters, Selma Steiner, Doris Thaut, Maxine Stimbert; brother, Curtis E.Alberts and an infant brother.
