Services will be Friday, June 10, 2011; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Tom Murray officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 2011; 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M., Thursday, June 9, 2011; 9:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. with family present from 7:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M., and Friday, June 10, 2011; 9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family. Adeline Rosemarie was born August 22, 1924 to Katherine Schmidt in rural Hall County and raised as an infant and only child by Herman and Rosa (Pohlman) Johansen. She attended Seedling Mile School in Grand Island, Nebraska. She married Henry Wahl on September 22, 1942 in Howard County, Nebraska; he preceded her in death in 1973. To this union 15 children were born. They farmed in Hall and Howard Counties until moving to Hastings, Nebraska in 1954. Adeline moved to a Good Samaritan Village apartment in 1999 following the death of her companion Gerald Monie. She was a loving mother and housewife. Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Rosa (Pohlman) Johansen and Katherine Schmidt; husband, Henry Wahl; daughter, Violet Jackson; three sons, Donald, Delbert, and Lester; one infant daughter, Marjorie Wahl; and grandchildren, Angela Stevens, Larry Wahl, Logan Wahl, LaTrice Kolbet, and Corbin Taylor.
