Hastings resident, Linda R. David, 57, of 701 Briarwood, died Friday, June 27, 2008 at the long term care unit at Grand Island Veterans Hospital

There will be private family interment in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to VA Medical Center, Nursing Care Unit, 2201 N. Broadwell Avenue, Grand Island, Nebraska 68801.

Ms. David was born December 29, 1950 in Hastings, Nebraska to Gene W. & Glenna R. (Lewis) Albers. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1969 and received an Associate Secretarial Degree. She served in the United States Navy from May 1, 1981 until June 4, 1985 as an Interior Communication Electrician aboard the USS Samuel Gompers. She worked at VA Hospitals in Omaha & Topeka, Kansas as a transcriber and later as a Ward Secretary. Linda attended the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Ms. David was preceded in death by her grandparents.
