Services will be Friday, March 18, 2011; 11:00 A.M. at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hastings, with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011; 6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M., Thursday, March 17, 2011; 9:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. with family present from 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Stanley was born June 23, 1938 in North Platte, Nebraska to Leo & Ella (White) Tegler. He attended grade school in Edgar, Nebraska and then graduated from Fairfield High School in 1956. He joined the U.S. Navy following high school and served with the Seabees and was stationed throughout the Pacific. He married Karen J. Mock on August 16, 1959. Stanley went to work for Business Supply Company in August of 1959. He became part owner in 1973 and full owner in 1985; the business closed in 1993. He then worked for Nebraska Office Service, Good Samaritan Village, and after retiring worked for Cornhusker Tool. He was a member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Eagles. He was a past member of Hastings Jaycees, Hastings Chamber, Ambassadors, Downtown Council, Southern Hills Country Club, and Lochland Country Club. Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Leo Tegler; mother, Ella Goosic; step-father, Charles Goosic; and step-brothers, Gerald Goosic & George Goosic. Survivors include: |
