Hastings resident, G. Arlene (Scott) Stinnette, 88, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at her home.

There will be private family services. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice.

Grace Arlene was born January 3, 1923 to Roy & Carria (Redden) Scott at Palisade, Nebraska. She grew up in the Palisade area, graduated from Palisade Public School in 1941. Arlene married Woodrow (Bill) Stinnette on January 22, 1942. Arlene was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hastings, Nebraska since May 11, 1952. She worked at Woolworth’s for 2 ½ years, J.C. Penneys for 13 years and ending her career as their first Credit Manager. After retiring, she kept books for S & S Auto Repair for 28 ½ years, retiring again in 2000 at the age of 78. Arlene enjoyed her home and flower garden, lunch and shopping with friends. She especially enjoyed spending time boating, swimming, and picnics with kids, grandkids, and even great-grandkids at Harlan County Lake for the last 45 years.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; and

son-in-law, Johnny Reiners.
