There will be no visitation or services. Theodore J. Ziemba passed away on May 21, 2011 following a lengthy illness. Born on May 10, 1925 in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts to Joseph & Catherine (Cygan) Ziemba. He was the fifth of eleven children. Ted served in the United States Air Force from 1943-1945 as a bombardier. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in 1949. Ted began his business career as a sales representative for Bauer & Black. He married Yvonne Mann in Beatrice, Nebraska on September 16, 1950. Always the entrepreneur, Ted owned and/or operated several businesses throughout his life, including Hastings Redi-Mix, Hastings Concrete Products, and Hastings Pork. He started Ziemba Roofing Company in 1974 and was President for 25 years. He retired in 1999. Ted was a past President of Lochland Country Club and involved with a variety of civic and community organizations throughout his life. At Teds request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance in honor of his granddaughter, Maggie Conner, www.tsalliance.org. Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, 801 Roeder Road, Suite 750, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910. There will be no visitation or services. The remains were cremated.Survivors include: |
