resident, Lloyd L. Krull, 86, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at
Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Wednesday, November 16, 2011; 2:00 P.M. at Butler
Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor David B. McCarthy and Pastor Tom
Murray officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview
Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, November 14,
2011; 5:00 P.M. 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 15, 2011; 9:00 A.M.
9:00 P.M. with family present from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. and one hour prior
to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Second
Presbyterian Church.
Lloyd was born October 31, 1925 in Glenvil, Nebraska to I.O. & Tena
(Evans) Krull. He served with the U.S. Army Medical Corps from March 17,
1944 until February 7, 1946 when he was honorably discharged. Lloyd
married Phyllis J. Hall on September 17, 1945 in Mankato, Kansas; she
preceded him in death on July 30, 2007. He worked for Dutton-Lainson,
farmed and drove a produce truck part time before becoming a patrolman
for the Hastings Police Department from 1960 through 1985. Lloyd was a
member of the Second Presbyterian Church, American Legion in Doniphan,
V.F.W. in Hastings, Eagles, and Fraternal Order of Police.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis J. Krull; one
daughter, Dorothea Dottie Vacek; four brothers, Jacob Krull, Claus
Krull, Henry Krull, and John Krull; and sisters, Lena Reiber and Marie
Busboom.
