Hastings resident, Theodocia “Theo” A. Stocks, 82, died Friday November 18, 2011 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Memorial service will be Tuesday November 22, 2011; 3 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Private family burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church or Hastings Public Library.

Theo was born June 5, 1929 at Fredrick, Oklahoma to William Claude & China Ann (Duval) Gifford. She married W. Guy Stocks on January 30, 1948 in Clinton, Oklahoma. They made their home in Oklahoma and had four daughters. They moved to Hastings in 1964 and Theo worked at J C Penny’s, J M McDonald and the Hastings High School Library. She loved to play bridge, cook, read, paint and garden. Her family was the focus of her life.

Theodocia “Theo” A. Stocks was preceded in death by her parents and brother Dean Gifford.
