Hastings
resident, Robert “Bob” F. Pauley, 77, passed away Friday, October 21,
2011 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.
Service will be Thursday, October 27, 2011; 10:30 A.M. at Lakeside
Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor John Whitsett officiating.
Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery. Visitation will
be Wednesday, October 26, 2011; 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. with family present 6
P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at
the church on Thursday. Memorials may be given to Lakeside Community
Church of the Nazarene.
Bob was born January 20, 1934 in Hastings, Nebraska to William G.
Pauley, Sr. & Bessie W. (Cattle) Pauley. He graduated from Hastings High
School; received his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Northwest
Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho; and received his Master’s Degree in
Education from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. Bob served with
the U.S. Army during the Korean War from September 4, 1953 until August
20, 1955. He married Wilma M. Hokanson on May 31, 1958 in Troy, Idaho.
Bob taught 6th grade at Spencer Park Elementary School before going full
time at W.G. Pauley Lumber Company where he was co-owner and operator
for over 50 years. He was a member of Lakeside Community Church of the
Nazarene.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jacinth Kelly & Mary
Guenin; and brother, William G. “Bud” Pauley, Jr.
