Hastings resident, Janice M. Rogers, 76, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Tuesday, September 13, 2011; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Tony Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. There will be no public viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the family.

Janice was born January 1, 1935 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Cecil & Anna Marie (Fischer) Jacobsen. She graduated from Roca High School, Roca, Nebraska in 1952. Janice married Howard L. Myers on November 1, 1953; they later divorced. She married Gerald Rogers on April 7, 1975; he preceded her in death on April 25, 1987. Janice worked at Magees, Lincoln Telephone Company in Lincoln and Hastings, Great Plains Container, Clarke Hotel, and Charlottes Sandwiches. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Rogers; and infant son, Travis Myers.
