Cecil was born on September 7, 1931 in Johnstown, NE, the second of four sons born to Lewis & Myrtle (Pate) Brown. After Cecil’s father’s death, Myrtle remarried and a half-sister Onita was added to the family. Cecil grew up throughout Nebraska. He spent three years in the Navy and after returning he married Nancy Kudrna on May 13, 1955. Together they had three children Fred (Ray), Wendy and Todd.
Cecil really enjoyed working and passed the love of hard work onto his children. Cecil retired from the Hasting Public School system after numerous years in several different positions. He continued his love for work in various jobs in Hastings, NE until he moved to Miles City, MT in 2004. He quickly found a new job (at the age of 73) at Reynolds Market where he remained until 2015 when his health caused his retirement.
Cecil was preceded in death by his mother and father; wife, Nancy; and brothers, Lloyd (Red), Robert (Bob), and Delvin.
