Hastings resident Adrian Isaiah Washington, 25, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Aurora Memorial Hospital, Aurora, NE due to a vehicle accident.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, at Evangelical Free Church in Hastings with Pastor Matt Sass officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Attendees are welcome to wear Husker gear and casual attire if desired. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Adrian was born on February 24, 2000, in Hastings, Nebraska. He attended Hastings Public Schools and graduated from Hastings High School in 2018. Adrian attended the University of Nebraska first in Kearney, then transferred to UNL. He returned to and was residing in Hastings at the time of his death. Adrian was an avid gamer and had a passion for making music. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and was the best Papa to his dog Chief. He loved college football and could tell you statistics for just about any team and any game in a ridiculous amount of detail at the drop of a hat. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his radiant smile, big heart, and loyalty.
Adrian’s journey ended early, but his impact will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him. As final proof of his benevolence, Adrian gave the gift of tissue donation.
Adrian is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Reeve and Carolyn Reeve.
He is survived by his mother, Kristin Washington; father, Richard Washington; sister, Liv Washington; aunt, Robin (Tara) Johnson; aunt, Shanna Scott; and many cousins, innumerable friends, and aunts and uncles.
