Alfaretta Erickson

Hastings resident, Alfaretta 'Alfy' Erickson, 74, of 511 South Maple, died Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, February 23, 2009; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Private family burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. Visitation will be Saturday, February 21, 2009; 5:00 P.M.- 9:00 P.M., Sunday, February 22, 2009; 1:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. and Monday, February 23, 2009; 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family.

Mrs. Erickson was born March 17, 1934 to Russell & Laura (Eaton) Henry in Cambridge, Nebraska. She married Bill Erickson on November 27, 1956 at First United Methodist Church in Hastings. In 1996, she retired from Dutton-Lainson and in 2000 worked as a Home Care Provider. She loved gardening and taking care of people.

Mrs. Erickson was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bobby & Russell Henry and a sister, Peggy Pitts.
