Hastings resident Alice M. Clark, 99, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings Village.
Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, with the Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10:30 a.m., with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Memorials may be given to the D.A.V. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.
Alice was born May 14, 1926, in Frankfort, KS, to John E. & Roxie V. (Purnell) Cooper. She graduated from Basehor High School in 1944 in Basehor, KS, and attended an Aviation Trade School in Omaha, NE. Alice worked for Mid-Continent Airlines as a teletype operator during World War II. She married John L. Clark on September 8, 1948, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia, KS. Following her marriage, Alice became a full-time housewife to raise her children.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Clark; son, John T. Clark; sisters, Anna Cooper, Sister Leo Marie Cooper SLC; brother, Reverend Father John Leo Cooper; grandson, Joseph P. Clark; and Son-in-Law, Melvin Reining.
