Artie F. Childers, 70, of 834 S. Kansas, died Sunday, December 17, 2000 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Wake service will be Tuesday, December 19, 2000; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, December 20, 2000; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Christopher Kubat officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Artie F. Childers was born January 3, 1930 in Hastings, Nebraska to Alfred & Laura (Bernt) Dieken. She married Thomas R. Childers on January 21, 1951 and he preceded her in death on February 1, 1998. She worked for Debus/Metz Bakery. She was a life long Hastings resident and a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.

Artie F. Childers was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Thomas and a sister; Dorothy Raver.

Memorial maybe given to St. Cecilia's Catholic Church

Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
