Beverly R. Powell

Juniata resident Beverly R. Powell, 88, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, at Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Josh Davis officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Hastings. Visitation with the family present will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church. Beverly was born August 1, 1937, in Hampton, NE to Clarence Sr. and Rose (Epp) Peetzke. She graduated from Polk High School. Beverly married Carroll A. Powell on December 21, 1956; he preceded her in death on December 11, 2022.

Beverly owned an ice cream shop “The Big Dipper” and numerous other endevors. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll A. Powell; daughter, Sandy Powell; and brother & spouse, Clarence Jr. & Shirley Peetzke.
