Beverly Ann Theesen

Hastings resident Beverly Ann Theesen, 85, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Premier Estates, Kenesaw, NE.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 15, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Rev. Darren Theesen officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery, west of Glenvil. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. with the family present 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 14, and one hour before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Beverly was born August 22, 1940, to Ralph and Alice (DeVol) Stilson in York, NE. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1958. Beverly met Herb Theesen while roller skating in Hastings, and they enjoyed water skiing on Lake Hastings together. She married Herbert Theesen on July 2, 1961, in Hastings.

Beverly later graduated from nursing school in August of 1962 and was hired on as a nurse at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings the next day! Mom’s passion was nursing. When asked what she most liked to do her response was “helping patients!”

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; sisters, Nancy and Barbara; and parents, Ralph & Alice Stilson.
