Carol M. Kramer

Hastings resident Carol M. Kramer, 83, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Kensington, in Hastings, NE. 

Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2026 with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings, NE with Father Craig Clinch officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, NE. There will be no viewing or visitation. The family requests memorials be given to St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church. Carol was born on September 12, 1942, in Hartington, Nebraska to Ivan and Lavina (Suing) Kramer, She graduated from St. Cecilia’s High School in 1960. After graduation, she worked in the treasure’s office at the Adams County Courthouse. Carol then moved to Virginia to work for the Navy Department. Her next move was to Southern California where she worked as a social security administrator up until her retirement. While living in California, she went on mission trips with her church group to assist less fortunate communities in Mexico. Upon retirement, Carol moved back to Hastings where she worked part-time in retail stores and volunteered her services at St. Joseph’s Gift and Thrift Store. Carol loved cats and always had one to care for. She was a collector of cat memorabilia, enjoyed shopping, and reading.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Lavina; and brothers, Bob Kramer, Glen Kramer, and Michael "Mitch" Kramer.
