Cheryl L. Hinrichs

Hastings resident Cheryl L. Hinrichs, 67, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Good Samaritan Society – Perkins Pavilion, Hastings, Nebraska.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, at St. Paul Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery, West of Glenvil with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. If you’d like to follow the family to the cemetery, please meet at the funeral home at by 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. 

Cheryl was born May 27, 1959 to Marvin and Shirley (Soukup) Hinrichs, in Hastings, Nebraska. She went to Alcott and Watson Schools and graduated from Hastings High School in 1978. Cheryl worked at Good Samaritan Village in the dietary department for 15 years. She liked Nebraska Cornhusker Football and scary movies. Cheryl loved hanging out her sister, especially taking car rides to get ice cream cones. Despite all of her health problems, she never gave up. She was a strong woman. Cheryl could be stubborn but she had a big heart. She will be missed.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; brother, Randy; and brother-in-law, Ron Williams.

Cheryl is survived by her sister, Debbie Williams and cousins and distant relatives.
