Connie J. Davis

Hastings resident Connie J. Davis, 75, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Mary Lanning Healthcare.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. with the family present on Thursday, August 13 at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Connie Davis Memorial Fund. A private burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery at a later date. 

Connie was born November 25, 1950, to Cleo & Phyllis (Dedrick) Coe in Holdrege, Nebraska. She graduated from Hastings High School. Connie married Eugene “Gene” Davis on July 12, 1970.

Connie was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and a woman whose kindness and love touched the lives of everyone around her. She will be remembered for the joy she brought to her family, her unwavering devotion to those she loved, and the many little things that made her uniquely Connie.

Connie had a special love for her Christmas tree. For her, Christmas was more than a holiday—it was a magical time filled with family, traditions, and joy. She enjoyed decorating her home for all the holidays with enthusiasm, these will be some of the many things her family will fondly remember about her.

Connie was dedicated to her dogs Daisy and Bingo. They were much more than pets to Connie; they were beloved members of her family and brought her companionship and happiness.

Above all, Connie was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Even in her final moments, Connie showed an extraordinary generosity with the gift of organ donation. Her final act of kindness is a beautiful reflection of the caring and giving person she was throughout her life.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Susan Coe and Michael Coe.

Connie is survived by her husband, Eugene Davis; children & spouse, Benjamin Davis and Brenda & Tad Nunley; grandchildren, Gabrielle Schwartz and Reid Nunley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
