Connie Elrod

Hastings resident, Connie Jo (Toombs) Elrod, 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Monday, November 10, 2014 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, November 15, 2014; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Steve Markle officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

Connie was born August 21, 1941 in Ellsworth, Kansas to Wayne & Maxine (Lusk) Toombs. She graduated from Kimball High School. Connie married James H. Elrod on November 25, 1961 at Kimball, Nebraska. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Connie was a homemaker and loved baking, sewing, crafts, spending time with her family was very important to her, and the Annual Toombs Family Reunion in York, Nebraska.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents and son, Bradley Elrod.
