Constance Drudik

Hastings resident, Constance 'Connie' A. Drudik, 78, of College View Assisted Living, 1100 N. 6th Avenue #204, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at the College View Assisted Living, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Rosary will be Wednesday, July 1, 2009; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 2, 2009; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2009; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 1, 2009; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home and & Thursday, July 2, 2009; 1 hour prior to service at the church. A memorial will be established.

Mrs. Drudik was born April 2, 1931 in Nuckolls County near Lawrence, Nebraska to Albert & Lenora (Biglin) Pohlmeier. She graduated from Lawrence High School Lawrence, Nebraska. She married Edmund Drudik at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrence, Nebraska on June 19, 1951. She was a devoted homemaker and teacher. She also did finish work for Drudik Construction and later operated the family Grade A Dairy. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Altar Society, Catholic Daughters & Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. She held several offices over six years for the Nebraska Association of County Extension Boards, past Clay County Extension Board member and a Clay County 4-H Leader.

Mrs. Drudik was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren, Kayla Drudik & Grant Larson.
