Dale Edwards

Hastings resident Dale O. Edwards, age 84, of 1616 Imperial Drive, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Friday, June 11, 2004; 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Earl Higgins officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in Grand Island City Cemetery, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Dale O. Edwards was born September 5, 1919 to Ira and Nora (Johnson) Edwards in Shenandoah, Iowa. He graduated from Coin High School in Coin, Iowa and then graduated from Grand Island Business College in Grand Island, Nebraska. He served in the United States Army Medical Corps from July 3, 1942 - November 20, 1945. He married Maxine Wozniak. She passed away on November 6, 1966. On December 27, 1968 he married Mabel 'Nancy' Sturdevant in Hastings, Nebraska. She passed away May 19, 2003. He was owner of Mid City Auto in Hastings, Nebraska. After he retired he worked part-time at Jackson Car Lot and Kershner's Auto Korner in Hastings, Nebraska. He was a member of the Ashler Lodge #33 and the Saddle Club in Grand Island, Nebraska and Scottish Rite Bodies, Tehama Temple, Eagles, and the UCT all in Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, brother Glen Edwards and Sister Evelyn Ross.
