Dale C. Mousel

Hastings resident Dale C. Mousel, 83, died Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, NE.  

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Friday, May 26, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Friday, May 26, at the funeral home, and one hour before the rosary and mass at the church. Dale requested no flowers or plants. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Dale C. Mousel was born December 15, 1939, on a farm near Assumption, NE to Virgil and Pauline (Parr) Mousel. On June 6, 1959, he married Breverly A. Streff at Assumption Catholic Church.

Dale was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a former long-time member of Southern Hills Country Club. Dale worked for 58 years for Dutton-Lainson. He was an eight-year veteran of the Nebraska National Guard. His favorite pastime was playing pitch with his buddies, Jerome, Ray, and Alan.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sons.
