Darlene Veburg

Hastings resident, Darlene B. Veburg, 89, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. A luncheon will be provided immediately following the service. Burial will be in Hordville Cemetery, Hordville, Nebraska at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016; 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church Music Department or The Alzheimer's Association.

Darlene was born December 5, 1926 in Hastings, Nebraska to Edwin & Laura (Priebe) Prante. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1944 and from Hastings College in 1950. Darlene married Ronald "Ron" Veburg on October 4, 1959 in Hastings. She was a mother, homemaker and organist at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings for 60 years. Darlene was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, WELCA (Women of the Church) and PEO at Hastings. She taught piano lessons for many years.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents.
