David C. Beavers

Hastings resident David C. Beavers, 80, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Providence Place, Hastings, NE. 

There will be no services held. Memorials and cards may be sent to the funeral home. 

David was born December 8, 1943, in Sioux City, IA to James M. and Vera G. (Anderson) Beavers and grew up in Junction City, KS. He graduated from Junction City High School in Junction City, KS, and attended Emporia State College in Kansas. David married Mary G. Miller on February 27, 1965. 

David worked for Great Plains Packaging Company in Hastings. He was a long-time sports enthusiast. David enjoyed sailing and started the Harlan Yacht Club. He loved spending time outdoors and life at the lake, they lived on the lake for many years before returning to Hastings. David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. 

David was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Sherril Mondzak and Judy Houston.
