David "Dave" R. Morrow

Hastings resident David R. “Dave” Morrow, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Evangelical Free Church in Hastings, with a luncheon to follow. A private burial will be held at a later date at Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege, Nebraska. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the Awana Youth Program at Evangelical Free Church of Hastings. 

Dave was born June 11, 1950, to Everett and Martha (Towler) Morrow in Hastings, Nebraska.

Dave married Janice Enquist. Together they shared 46 years of marriage and had three children. Their family later grew to include four grandchildren.

Dave worked for Hastings Utilities as a lineman for many years. He took great pride in his work and truly enjoyed his job. Dave especially enjoyed being outdoors and spending time working outside.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Martha Morrow; infant son, Nathan; brothers, Johnny, Robert, and James Morrow; parents-in-law, Russell and Lorraine Enquist; sister-in-law, Gayla Enquist; and brother-in-law, Ron Ronhovde.

Dave is survived by his wife, Janice Morrow of Hastings; daughters, Sarah Morrow of Lincoln and Abby (Travis) Vacek of Hastings; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Owen, Everett, and Norah; sister-in-law, Kathryn Ronhovde; brother-in-law, Arlan Enquist; as well as many nieces and nephews.
