David Harris

Hastings resident, David Harris, 67, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at his home.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

David was born February 9, 1949 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Ernest "Ernie" Carl & Dorothy (Nietfelt) Harris. He married Connie Roenne on November 23, 1977. David served in the U.S. Army for five and one-half years. He owned and operated Dave's Shoe Repair where he did custom leather and shoe repairs. David also worked at KN Energy as a mechanic. He was a member of Eagles, V.F.W., and American Legion. David enjoyed woodworking, cabinet making, and was very proud of his leather work.

David was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Harris.
