David Walker

Life-long Hastings resident, David J. "Dave" Walker, 65, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Madonna Care Center, Lincoln.

Services will be Thursday, October 19, 2017; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Dave was born March 8, 1952 to Elmer & Phyllis (Hermann) Walker in Hastings, Nebraska. He graduated from Hastings High School. Dave married Deborah Blauvelt on May 23, 1981. Dave worked for Whalen Energy Center as a maintenance mechanic for 23 years before retiring.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Ada Blauvelt.
