Dee Ridge

Hastings resident, Dee Anna Ridge, 70, of 1110 North Lexington Avenue, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion.

Memorial service will be Saturday, March 7, 2009; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Dan Badeer officiating. Burial will be Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Book signing will be Thursday, March 5, 2009; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and Friday, March 6, 2009; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Special Service Unit at Perkins 300 or Perkins 200.

Mrs. Ridge was born to Howard & Velma (Huntsman) Hollon on June 28, 1938 in Manhattan, Kansas. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1956 and married Archie Ridge Jr. on January 12, 1957. She was a Welcome Wagon Host, worked for Polk City Directories, owner & operator of Alaska Ceramics until it closed in 2000, served on the Hastings City Council from 1988 until 1992 and was a Boy & Girl Scout Leader for 10 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Eagle's Auxiliary and Daughters of the Nile.

Mrs. Ridge was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Daniel Howard Ridge.
