Delores Joynt

Holstein resident Delores Joynt, 89, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at The Pines at Blue Hill, NE.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 22, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Father Corey Harrison. A burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell. The visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Delores was born on October 28, 1935, in Juniata, NE to Peter and Rose (Pittz) Faber. She graduated from Holstein High School in 1953. Delores married Ivan Joynt on September 15, 1956. Delores and Ivan worked side by side on the family farm for many years, enjoying and taking pride in their efforts. The farm became a favorite destination of their many nieces and nephews every summer. Delores and Ivan also loved their many years of camping with different groups and organizations.

Delores and Ivan were licensed ham radio operators where they met numerous people from all over the world and became friends with many of them. In addition to meeting and connecting with many people across the world they enjoyed geocaching with these friends and fellow operators. Delores was active in organizations in both Holstein and Roseland for many years. 

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan; and brothers, Rollie and Bernard.
