Dennis Heil

Hastings resident Dennis George Paul Heil, 79, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at Mary Lanning Health Care, Hastings, NE.

Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family. 

Dennis was born on January 20, 1947, in Superior, NE, to George and Helen (Schiermeyer) Heil. He attended Lawrence High School. Dennis owned and operated Dennis Heil Roofing. Dennis was an avid four-point pitch player. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events. Dennis also enjoyed watching football and cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers. 

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; former spouse, Tammy Heil; son, Mark Heil; sister, Helen “Janet” Cassatt; brothers, Steve “Robert” Heil, William “Bill Heil; sisters-in-law, Mary Myers and Claudette Heil.
