Hastings resident, Dixie R. (Scott) Kerr, 86, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 surrounded by love.
Services will be Friday, August 28, 2015; 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings with Pastor Charles M. Webster and Rev. Duane Queen officiating. Burial will be Friday, August 28, 2015; 3:30 P.M. in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials may be given to Scottish Rite - Ritecare Speech or First Presbyterian Church Go And Serve Fund. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 26, 2015; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 27, 2015; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Dixie was born July 20, 1929 in Hickman, Nebraska to Walter & Minnie (Roeder) Scott. She married John R. Kerr on August 17, 1953; he preceded her in death on April 18, 1996. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Nebraska. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Shriners Women's Auxiliary, Presbyterian Women's Association, and American Legion.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John R. Kerr.
