Donald Streck

Hastings resident, Donald C. Streck, 79, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Tuesday, August 25, 2009; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Nolan Crago officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, August 22, 2009; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, August 23, 2009; 1:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Monday, August 24, 2009; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M., and 1 hour prior to service at Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Relay for Life.

Donald was born August 20, 1930 in Hastings, Nebraska to Adam & Katherine (Fox) Streck. He attended Hastings High School. He married Geraldine Stark. He worked as a body man at Steve Willy Body Shop for 20 years, Laird Motor for 34 years, and Lakeside Body Shop for 2 years. He attended Second Presbyterian Church for many years and was a former member of the Knights of Pythias.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Steven Brown, and 2 sisters, Mildred Holsten and Eleanor Jones.
