Hastings resident Donna M. Caraballo, 74, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026, peacefully at her home in Hastings, NE.

Services will be at a later date. Burial will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Mankato, KS. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

Donna was born July 27, 1952, in Belleville, KS, to Orville and Aileen (Bechtold) Layland. She graduated from Mankato Kansas High School. She married Jim Caraballo on January 8, 1972, and he preceded her in death in 2012.

Donna dedicated 23 years of her life working at Amigo’s, where she became a familiar and valued part of the community. She was known for her kindness, hard work, and the warmth she shared with those around her.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim Caraballo, and her infant sister.
