Doris Watson

Hastings resident, Doris J. Watson, 83, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at Providence Place, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, December 22, 2016; 10:00 A.M. at Livingston Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger officiating. Memorials may be given to Providence Place.

Doris was born July 20, 1933 in Hastings, Nebraska to Leonard & Lydia (Wagner) Schuman. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1951. Doris married Eldon Watson on November 29, 1958, at First United Methodist Church.

Doris worked at Wells Fargo as a personal banker and retired in 1988. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Also, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Blood Mobile, and election sites.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Leonard "Sonny" Schuman; brother-in-law, Gil Culter; and grandson, Tyler Stoetzel.
