Doris Wigert

Hastings resident, Doris V. (Sittner) Wigert, 98, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Visitation is Monday, June 18, 2012; 5 P.M. - 7 P.M. with family present at the funeral home. Graveside services and burial are Tuesday, June 19, 2012; 1:30 P.M. at Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, Nebraska.

Doris was born May 17, 1914 in Hastings, Nebraska to Jacob & Elizabeth (Lofing) Sittner. She married Carl A. Wigert on August 1, 1933; together they had two sons. Doris was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed going on family fishing trips and attending her son's sporting events.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl A. Wigert (May 29, 1990); three brothers, Jacob Sittner, Donald Sittner, Walter Sittner; step-brother, Adam Sock; and sisters, Dorothy Rhodes and Marie Freese.
