Dorothy A. Blau

Hastings resident Dorothy A. Blau, 84, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Rev. Lance Clay officiating. Burial will be at Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Dorothy was born on January 22, 1941, in Fairfield, NE, to Elmer and Albina (Wolfe) Blau. She attended Fairfield Public Schools through the 8th grade. Dorothy was a homemaker. She lived at The Kensington for 20+ years. Dorothy loved to be involved in Bingo, listening to music, and bus rides.

Dorothy will be remembered for her kindness and love of family. Her presence brought comfort and warmth to all who knew her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Evelyn Ledbetter; and nephew, Ronald Weber.
