Dorothy McMullen

Hastings resident, Dorothy L. McMullen, 88, of Perkins Pavilion, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion.

Memorial services will be Thursday, July 30, 2009; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Book signing will be Wednesday, July 29, 2009; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and Thursday, July 30, 2009; 9:00 A.M. until service time. Memorials may be given to the family.

Mrs. McMullen was born July 3, 1921 in Bloomington, Nebraska to Carl & Minnie (Schaefer) Doyen. She attended Hastings High School and married Delmar C. McMullen on December 24, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1994. She & Delmar sang on the radio and moved to Colby, Kansas. They returned to Hastings in 1965. She was a member of the North Shore Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. McMullen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Marilyn and 3 brothers and 3 sisters and son-in-law, Bob Green.
