Hastings resident, Druella E. Hohnstein, 90, passed away, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society- Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Wednesday, October 9, 2013; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8, 2013; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family receiving relatives and friends from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Funeral Home, and prior to services Wednesday. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church.
Druella was born February 10, 1923 in Webster County, Nebraska to George & Dora (Hublein) Rose. She graduated from Rosemont High School, Rosemont, Nebraska. Druella married Ivan E. Hohnstein on March 13, 1946; he preceded her in death on April 4, 2002. Druella worked at the Adams County Courthouse, JCPenney's, and was best known as the "Pizza Lady" at Allen's. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a past church elder, and was a past member of an extension club.
Druella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivan E. Hohnstein; son, Terry Hohnstein; one sister; and five brothers.
