Edward M. (Eddie) Faber

Kearney resident Edward M. Faber, 91, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the Central Nebraska Veterans’ Home, in Kearney, NE. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Friday, January 2, and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland, NE with Father Brian Wirth officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Assumption Cemetery in Assumption, NE. Visitation will be 4 - 6 p.m. Friday, January 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland, NE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.  Eddie was born on April 30, 1934, in Juniata, NE, to Peter and Rose (Pittz) Faber. He graduated from Holstein High School in 1953. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. On April 25, 1959, he married the love of his life, Nancy (Beye), at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Holstein, NE., where they lived and raised their family.

He worked at many jobs over the years. Even after retirement, he continued to do odd jobs into his 80’s. Eddie was happiest when the whole clan was together. He would smile from ear to ear. He absolutely loved the “littles”.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy; brothers, Bernard and Rolland Faber; sister, Delores Joynt; brother-in-law, Ivan Joynt; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Marinus & Rose Beye; and son-in-law, TJ Vance.
