Edward Kathman

Hastings resident, Edward F. Kathman, 83, of 902 No. Colorado, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Monday, January 7, 2008; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 8, 2008; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, January 7, 2007; 9A.M.-9P.M. at the funeral home and Tuesday, January 8, 2008, 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.

Mr. Kathman was born October 6, 1924 in Oconto, Nebraska to Edward & Frances (Reining) Kathman. He married Mary Klatt at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church on July 20, 1957. He was a cook at the Hastings Regional Center for 36 years. He was a life long area resident and a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and of the Eagles.

Mr. Kathman was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
