Celebration of Life is 2 p.m. Thursday, November 29, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. The family requests casual dress when attending services. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. Private family burial will be held at a later date at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Olin and Mary Underwood.

Survived by husband, Bradley Petersen; son, Benjamin Pierce (Marcy), and grandson, Eli Pierce; step-daughter, Nicki Showalter (Michael), and grandchildren, Maggie, Addison, Connor, and William; sister, Cheryl Lorhan (Lester); nieces and nephews.
