Elnora Eltz
Juniata resident Elnora Eltz, 67, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Mary Lanning Memorial Health Care, three days before her 68th birthday.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on August 8, 2026, at the Assumption Cemetery in Assumption, with Father Brian Wirth officiating. Elnora was born July 31, 1958, to Herbert and Myrtle (Gimpel) Eltz. She worked various jobs, but the one she really loved was the family farm, which was recognized as a Nebraska Century Farm. Beyond working the land, Elnora and her brother, Henry, were familiar faces and long-time visitors at area tractor shows, frequently traveling to Crystal Lake and Clay Center. Together they loved exploring the flea markets looking for the next ‘great’ find to add to their cherished collection.
Elnora was a quiet, loving person with a love for the dogs and cats needing a home. Her presence will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her longtime friend Mike Weseman of Ayr, her cousins, Barbara McBride of Phillips, Elaine Graves of Aurora, Janice and Dick Wetzel of Oregon, Dale Macomber of Utah, and Jackie Fox of Central City, her two furbabies, and friends and neighbors.
Elnora was preceded in death by her parents, brother Henry Eltz, special Uncle Clarence Eltz, grandparents, and Dale McBride and Leon Graves.
Elnora’s devotion to family and love for the homestead will remain a cornerstone of her family’s legacy.
