Eugene Monie

Hastings resident, Eugene "John" Monie, 76, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Graveside Services will be August 31, 2014; 11:30 A.M. at Greenwood Cemetery, Franklin, Nebraska. There will be no viewing or visitation.

John was born February 9, 1938 in Franklin, Nebraska to Clarence A. & Nona (Morris) Monie. He served with the Nebraska National Guard. In 1950 he moved to Hastings from Franklin and worked as a drill press operator at Dutton Lainson and Davison's Nursery. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Eagles.

John was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judy Monie; brothers, Gerald W. Monie, Robert Monie, and Verle D. Monie.
