Georgia L. Fahrenholtz

Georgia L. Fahrenholtz, 84, of Hastings, NE went to her eternal home with Jesus on Sunday, December 7, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Georgia was born July 17, 1941, to Edward and Esther Pearl (Swaim) Cox in Nebraska City, NE. Georgia graduated from Nebraska City High School. Georgia married her high school sweetheart, Larry A. Fahrenholtz on May 14, 1961, at Christ Lutheran Church in Nebraska City, NE. Georgia and Larry began their married life together in Lincoln, NE. To this union, four children were born, Sandy, Don, Rick, & Tammy. The family moved to Hastings in 1970. Georgia and Larry were co-owners of the KarmelKorn/Larry’s Poppin’ Shoppe, Flowerama and Crazy Cones and Cookies at the Imperial Mall. In later years, Georgia found joy and formed lasting friendships with her clients, whose homes she helped care for.

Georgia was a member of Faith Lutheran Church for 55 years. Her greatest joys in life were spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 13, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery at a later date. Public visitation with book signing will be 1:00 to 7:00 p.m, Friday, December 12, with family present from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Chester and Bernice Fahrenholtz, brothers-in-law Bill Hemmer, Jim Bryant and sister-in-law Sharon Rippe.
