Glendale Gronewold

June 9, 1933 — July 12, 1953

Rural Hastings resident, Glendale Thomas Gronewold, 71, of 7790 So. Marian Rd, died Friday, May 27, 2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Tuesday, May 31, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska.

Glen was born June 9, 1933 in Hastings, Nebraska to William & Tillie (Theesen) Gronewold. He grew up in Glenvil - Rosemont, Nebraska area and graduated from Eckley High School in 1951. On July 12, 1953, he married Shirley Graham in Hastings, Nebraska. He served in the United States Army from July 28, 1953 until May 28, 1955. He was a masonry in construction and then a rural mail carrier, retiring in 1994. He also owned the Juniata Café & Tavern from 1967 to 1980. He was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Harness Hustlers Driving Club and Juniata American Legion.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents.

VISITATION: Mon. 5-30-05; 9am-9pm with family present 7pm-9pm
Tue. 5-31-05; 1 hr. prior at the church
